Now that the fourth installation of Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean franchise is finally in theaters, the stars are beginning their talk show rounds to promote the family-friendly film. Fortunately, that means we’ll have plenty of opportunities to drool over Johnny Depp – and even more importantly, the fabulous fashions of the movie’s female stars. Not wanting to disappoint, British beauty Keira Knightley opted out of the Chanel Couture presentation in France on Monday, May 9th to pay a visit to Jon Stewart at The Daily Show.
In true Keira fashion, she wowed in a frothy confection straight off the Valentino Fall 2011 runway. The bohemian-chic star usually opts for floaty and feminine silhouettes, so we weren’t surprised by her pick, but plan on stealing some style pointers nonetheless. Keep reading for photos of her gorgeous look, and learn how to work a similarly neutral hue on your own skin tone.
Keira often opts for soft neutrals in shades of pale pink, lavender and beige. We love when a star steps outside her comfort zone, but in this case, we applaud Keira for knowing exactly what works on her body. This particular design is part of a fall collection, but the soft pink hue is pitch-perfect for Spring 2011. To make a flesh-tone color work for you, it’s important to pick just the right shade. Keira’s porcelain skin works perfectly with her Valentino design, which is why this look is so pretty on her. If you have a darker complexion, look for pieces with hints of deep tan or rose to compliment your skin in a similar way.
The floral appliqué detailing on Keira’s frock has us smitten, as well. Three-dimensional florals are a huge spring trend, and can be found at every price point. If Valentino isn’t quite within your budget, check out similar details on cardigans and blouses at New York & Company or H&M in your local mall.
