Frat boys across the globe are quivering in anticipation of May 26th, when The Hangover Part II officially hits theatres after a seemingly endless wait. The first installment of the in-your-face outrageous comedy has already been cemented as a classic in the two short years since it’s debut, and fans of the first flick have been waiting with bated breath for the highly anticipated sequel. Even though we normally prefer sparkly chick flicks and romantic comedies starring our favorite fashionistas, we have to admit we’re actually looking forward to checking out the funny film ourselves. But before The Hangover Part II comes to our hometown, its stars celebrated the Los Angeles premiere at Grauman’s Chinese Theater on Thursday, May 19th. Even though the movie is dominated by mostly male stars, we spotted a few drool-worthy dresses on the red carpet as well. Our pick for best dressed of the night was blonde beauty Kristen Bell, who opted for her tried-and-true favorite designer, J. Mendel for the occasion.

Kristen wore a J. Mendel Spring 2011 design, and left it completely unaltered from the runway version we originally saw. As much as we love when a star puts her own creative spin on a designer look, we also adore when a celebrity can wear a dress straight off the runway and still look totally fresh. Kristen’s silk chiffon frock is a perfect example of the color block trend for Spring 2011, and featured a pale peach sweetheart mini dress swathed in a dove gray, one-shoulder overlay. The peach and gray color palate is so unexpected and new, we are totally smitten with this look.

Ms. Bell completed her red carpet look with Brian Atwood peep toes in a soft nude hue, which were the only accessory she needed to finish her frock to perfection. If you’re interested in trying the color block trend, be sure to wear simple and pretty accessories that don’t compete with your color palate, just like Kristen.
