We especially love her as Kathie Lee Gifford, chugging white wine and hurling insults at her costar, who impersonates Hoda in their satirical version of NBC’s “Today Show.” But as Wiig’s star rises and she appears in more films alongside Hollywood’s heavy hitters, we’re starting to see a side of the comedienne that was formerly hidden – her inner fashionista! Often, the leading ladies of comedy never quite find their fashion footing. Tina Fey has been on the scene for over a decade, yet her first fashion hit was at this year’s Screen Actors Guild Awards. Industry insiders typically give funny girls a free pass when it comes to wacky style. But thankfully, Kristen isn’t following in the footsteps of the frumpy female comediennes that came before her. She is rewriting the silly story with her own laid-back and polished style. Even though she’s a native New Yorker, Wiig brings a certain California-girl vibe to her ensembles, and the “Paul” premiere was no exception. Sure, it’s February in London, but that didn’t stop Wiig from looking fierce and fabulous in a tropical-looking orange and purple maxi dress.
