Love Those Bangs! Sandra Bullock’s New Look

Sandra Bullock 2011 Golden Globes PHOTOS Love Those Bangs! Sandra Bullocks New Look

The red carpet is always an exciting place to discover new trends and to forecast what is to come in the fashion year ahead. (Of course, it’s also a blast picking out the best and the worst looks of the night!) In our opinion, one of the best looks at the Golden Globes had little to do with fabric or sequins or plunging necklines or accessories. Well, we suppose you could call this a woman’s best accessory. We’re talking about Sandra Bullock’s new hairstyle.

The actress has been known for her thick brunette locks since she first began her ascent in the world of celebrities, but never has she made such a dramatic statement with her hairstyle. Ms. Bullock appeared on the red carpet wearing a lovely dress that hovered on the border of nude and pale pink. The fabric, covered in a net of shimmering detail offset the beauty’s sparkling dark eyes. What was most stunning, of course, were the actress’s new bangs which fell thick and even over her brow. We’re sure that there will be many fashionistas following in her footsteps and that plenty of hairstylists will be presented with tear sheets of Ms. Bullock at the Golden Globes.

For those who are interested in getting a look like Ms. Bullock’s, we’ve got a few tips. First of all, it is important to notice that her hair, despite being naturally thick, did not have a great deal of volume. The reason for this is most likely that her stylist did not want her hair to overwhelm her look. We’d bet our bottom dollar that all of her hair except her bangs was styled with a flat iron but that her bangs were styled with a blow dryer and a round brush. This would give the bangs extra body and just the right amount of shape to perfectly fall across her brow, just above her eyes.
