Since brunette beauty Minka Kelly burst onto the Hollywood scene as demure and polite Lyla Garrity in the critically acclaimed NBC drama Friday Night Lights, we’ve had our eyes on this rising style star. Minka has the kind of effortless beauty that makes us want to break up with our blow dryers and embrace her easy, breezy bohemian style.
Since she’s kissed her cheerleading uniform and pom-poms goodbye, Minka has totally blossomed into a full-blown movie star, complete with an amazing eye for style, and an uncanny knack for knowing how to dress her willowy frame. Most recently, we caught her at Comic-Con in San Diego – as she portrays the newest member of Charlie’s Angels on ABC’s upcoming fall remake – and she looked so 1970s chic, we’re already planning how to steal her star style. Since she was promoting her new show, which happens to be a reimagination of a 1970s classic, we think Minka hit all the right style notes with her amazing, flowy, retro look by Etro. She has a fabulous figure that looks fantastic in tight-fitting shapes, but we also love this looser, more laid-back style on her. The deep green and warm gold look amazing against her tawny, tanned complexion, and we think similar shades might be equally flattering on a wide range of skin tones this summer.
Minka completed her Etro frock with a pair of camel-colored Brian Atwood pumps, which acted like a nude for Minka’s tanned and toned gams. To achieve a similar look on your own complexion, look for a milky peach leather pump if you’re fair, or a deeper brown if you have darker skin. The secret to the illusion of mile-long legs is to find the perfect nude for your own skin.
