Penelope Cruz: Editor at French Vogue
Been a long time since we talk about Penelope Cruz and the actress / celebrity designer is now kicking it deeper into the fashion world and answered to the call of fashion bible: French Vogue. The magazine tapped Cruz as guest editor of its May issue, which talks about the Cannes Film Festival. Cruz has her friend director Pedro Almodóvar to interview actress Jeanne Moreau, and she even took some digital snaps of Salma Hayek and Javier Bardem chatting with Sean Penn.
Although enjoying her time taking pictures, Cruz also models for a feature of spring fashions, photographed by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin. She also posed with a line-up of other stars which includes Bono, Meryl Streep, Kate Winslet, Julianne Moore, Naomi Watts and Gwyneth Paltrow. Associate Editor of French Vogue, Olivier Lalanne, stated:
“She was very intense and precise about what she wanted”
Of course she was. There’s no word whether this will be a recurring role for Cruz, but we’ll see!
