Kate Hudson’s new bundle of joy isn’t due to arrive for a few more months, yet she’s already secured her place in history as one of Hollywood’s most stylish mothers-to-be. We’ve loved watching the laid back California girl transform from carefree hippie chick into beautiful and sophisticated bump-sporting fiancé to Muse singer (and baby daddy) Matt Bellamy. We’re thrilled we have a few more months to watch Kate’s fabulous fashion choices unfold. In the meantime, she made a super stylish appearance at the first annual Hawn Foundation MindUP charity event, held at the Metropolitan Club in New York City on Thursday, April 28th.
The event, which raised money to benefit programs that enhance student learning across the country, was a star-studded affair. Of course, Kate’s timelessly gorgeous mother, Goldie Hawn and longtime love Kurt Russell were in attendance, as well as Bravo Television head honcho Andy Cohen and a slew of other celebrity royalty. But as excited as we were to see so many famous faces support such a great cause, we were even more smitten with Kate’s sexy Dolce & Gabbana green leopard print confection and amazing accessories. Even if you’re not cooking a bun in your oven, a similar loose style can work in your wardrobe, too!
We love Kate’s ensemble because it strikes the perfect balance between sassiness and modesty. The animal print is youthful and trendy, yet the flowing shape and sophisticated bow detail at the neckline add the perfect amount of fashionable femininity. Kate’s been nailing every ensemble during her pregnancy, so we aren’t surprised we love this one, as well. Kate completed her jungle-inspired look with black peep toes by Casadei and a beautifully simple Edie Parker evening clutch.
