We’ve already seen the adorable romantic comedy “Morning Glory” on our side of the Atlantic. In fact, the film was a smash hit in the fall – and with good reason. Beautiful and bubbly Rachel McAdams, coupled with Hollywood legends Diane Keaton and Harrison Ford made for a hilariously endearing juxtaposition on screen. But even though we’ve been lucky enough to catch the film already, it only recently premiered in Germany. And do you know what that means? Even more amazing red carpet looks from Ms. McAdams, who happens to be one of our favorite Canadian cuties.

For the German premiere on Sunday, January 9 in Berlin, Rachel really brought high drama fashion to the carpet. Her red-hot Michael Kors floor-length gown was the perfect choice – and the crimson hue even matched the “Morning Glory” signage behind her! We’re not sure if the color coordination was intentional – but it certainly was cute and quirky!

All jokes aside, we’re positively drooling over this edgy-chic look. The Kors creation is absolutely beautiful, and flatters Rachel’s body perfectly. But our favorite feature is the black leather strap detail at the waist and neckline. Even though we would have flipped for this dress anyhow – the black leather keeps it from being another bland red carpet look. The “Morning Glory” star looks super sophisticated and classic – but manages to retain her young, edgy and hip sense of style.

The reason why this dress is working so perfectly for Rachel here is because she didn’t go overboard with her accessories. Her simple gold bangles and hoop earrings let the dress’s bright hue take center stage without competing with its boldness. We love Rachel’s makeup here, too because she kept her face and eyes understated, which allowed her bold crimson lip color to compliment the dress.

If you’re interested in trying a bold new color statement for spring, keep this look in mind when styling the rest of your look. Allow the color speak loudest, and keep everything else, from jewelry to makeup – neutral and pretty.
