Rachel Weisz in Red

Ever since her intimate (and secret) wedding to James Bond himself, Daniel Craig, brunette beauty Rachel Weisz has only gotten more and more stylish on the red carpet. We’ve always loved her polished, classic style – and now that’s she’s a newlywed, she’s rocking that over-the-moon-happy glow, to boot. Most recently, we’re head over heels for Rachel’s red Valentino frock we spotted at the Whistleblower premiere, held at the Tribeca Grand Hotel in New York City on Wednesday, July 27th. We love everything about Rachel’s amazing Resort 2012 dress – especially the red-hot hue, so keep reading to discover more adorable details about her ensemble!

Second only to black, red is such a classic color that it’s hard to go wrong while wearing it. Bright, candy apply shades like the one Rachel wore here are universally flattering and appropriate, and we think every smart shopper should have a little red frock in their well-rounded wardrobes. This particular hue looks amazing against Rachel’s glossy chestnut locks and pretty porcelain skin, so look for similar colors all year long for an equally flattering effect.

The simple cut of this Valentino creation is what really has us smitten. From afar, it looks like an unadorned little shift with cap sleeves, but a closer look reveals some oh-so-cute details. Rachel’s little sleeves are actually oversized bows! We are digging this fun and flirty detail so much that we’re tempted to recreate our own version of the look at home, with a little help from the craft store.

We think Rachel was smart to keep her accessories minimal for the night. She opted only for a fabulous Judith Leiber evening clutch, drop earrings by Bulgari, and simple and classic nude pointy pumps. To avoid competing with her dress’s red-hot hue, Rachel also opted for simple and pretty makeup, complete with naturally flushed cheeks and lips, and easy, shiny waves. Do you love this ensemble as much as we do?
