Are we the only ones who’ve been noticing the vast absence of Renee Zellweger on this season’s many red carpets? Granted, the famed “Jerry Maguire” star hasn’t been involved in a major movie in a few months, but that’s no reason to shun her from the awards shows! We applaud Ms. Z for taking some time off from her frantic production schedule to enjoy a slower paced life with hottie beau Bradley Cooper, while they reportedly search for real estate together – on both coasts. In fact, we even heard rumors that Renee was scheduled to be a presenter at the Golden Globes last month – but had to pull out at the last minute due to the death of Bradley’s father. Of course, our hearts go out to the couple while they mourn the loss of their loved one – and hope to see them both back in action soon!
In the meantime, we’ve been doing a little mourning ourselves – over the loss of fabulous Zellweger sightings on red carpets and charity events. Of course, even the busiest Hollywood A-listers are entitled to plenty of time off, but we’ve certainly missed seeing Renee in knockout gowns from the biggest names in fashion. In our eyes, she’s one of those actresses who can do no wrong when it comes to her personal style – and she always manages to look amazingly polished at any size. Remember when she had to pack on the pounds for “Bridget Jones?” She looked just as fierce at a size 12 as she does at a size two – making her the ideal fashion inspiration for women everywhere.
Fortunately for us, Renee made a rare appearance at the Golden Camera Awards in Berlin, Germany on Saturday, February 5th – and her ensemble didn’t disappoint. She arrived on the red carpet in a dove gray ball gown by Carolina Herrera, who has become Renee’s go-to special event dress designer. And we can see why – Herrera creations fit Renee perfectly and always flatter her best assets. Next time you’re getting ready for a big event – remember that a voluminous gown can be a great statement!
