Stylish Duchess of Cambridge voted Britain’s Best Dressed
The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, is one of our favorite style trendsetters. We love to name her as Queen of Style, The Sartorial Star and The Stunning Duchess and kept on following her wardrobe choices as we are inspired by her ability to mix unfussy, glamorous and traditional style elements and looks.
When London was named the top Fashion Capital of the world for 2011 ahead of New York, the primary reasons for the dramatic shift is the emergence of the Duchess’s style panache and the death of famous designer Alexander McQueen whom she dearly favored. At this point in time, she continues to inspire the style community by flaunting her traditional and glamorous take on fashion.
But recently, the pretty wife of Prince William has added another title under her belt. Harper Bazaar’s sartorial it-list is now available, naming Kate as Britain’s Best Dressed woman. The high-end magazine catapulted the lovely royalty to super stardom in the fashion world based on her unique style and charismatic fashion know-how. She was chosen among 20 trendy women based on her capacity to sashay the works of esteemed designers like Alexander McQueen and Issa London.
The newlywed’s feat represented women who usually flaunts peculiarly elegant and fabulously unpredictable style. According to Lucy Yeomans, Bazaar’s Editor, Kate’s intricately-designed wedding dress worn for the royal wedding is exceptional. She stated: “She gave us the year’s – if not the century’s – most thrilling fashion moment.” In addition, the board of judges considered the Duchess’s style as an “incredible style evolution that has gripped us all.”
In this year’s list, singer Florence Welch is placed second, followed by actress Andrea Riseborough, and stunning supermodel Kate Moss. Pretty actress Tilda Swinton settled on fifth place followed by elegant actress Keira Knightly.
