Taylor Swift at the 12th annual Teen Choice Awards
Since country crooner Taylor Swift just exited her teen years recently, it’s no wonder why tweens and teens across the globe absolutely adore her. She’s adorable, relatable, and parent-approved for her G-rated lyrics and fashionably modest ensembles. You’ll never catch Taylor in the midst of a wardrobe malfunction – and so far, the 20-year-old has avoided the siren song of the Hollywood party scene. Sure, she’s unlucky in love and has suffered some serious splits in the media, but she’s never been caught in a scandal and always travels with her mother in tow. What’s not to love?
On Sunday, August 7th, Taylor cleaned up at the 12th annual Teen Choice Awards, held this year at the Gibson Amphitheatre in University City, CA. The teen favorite took home five surfboard-shaped accolades for Female Music Artist, Country Female Artist, Female Red Carpet Fashion Icon, Country Single and Break Up Song. Clearly, Ms. Swift enjoyed a big night, and certainly dressed the part. The beautiful blonde was practically glowing in a pitch-perfect white halter-style dress.
We loved her white-hot frock by Rafael Cennamo – and think a similar style might be a great choice for a wide array of body shapes and sizes this summer. Taylor complimented her red carpet dress with a fabulous jeweled belt by Ranjana Khan, gray-taupe patent leather Fendi shoes and star-worthy bling by Neil Lane. She looked confident, cool and totally teen-appropriate. We especially loved her sparkly belt, and thought it was quintessentially Taylor.
As much as we loved her dress and accessories, our favorite part of Taylor’s ensemble was her bold green eye shadow. Her flawless porcelain skin and stunning blue eyes provide the perfect canvas to play with daring color – and her minty shadow highlighted her gorgeous peepers.
