We talked about making bold post-election fashion statements for the men. Now ladies, we know we all love the Obamas, and there’s still one important fashion question regarding Michelle Obama:
Which designer will be lucky enough to dress our fabulous First Lady on the inauguration night?
Many designers are currently competing their designs, including Project Runway designers! Whoa. Sounds like a rat race is going on. And here are some of the inaugural dress designs we can find across the internet.

Marc Bouwer did a great job combining Michelle, Sasha and Malia’s dresses into one patriotic look. We like the details on the waist as it’s ties the whole look together.

Reem Acra suggests a more sophisticated look for Michelle, but we’re not really feelin’ the err… buttoned-up look on the kids. Liking the subtle colors, though.

Isabel Toledo likes Michelle under a sheer wrap. And we like it too. Candy colors for the girls are just appropriate for their age and we think they’re cute!

On with the Project Runway Designers’ ideas now.

The first Project Runway designer to catch our attention is Chris March. We knew he’s a costume expert, but a BARREL for the First Lady? Is he kidding? Mr. March’s thought on the line: “The first lady will have to resort to wearing a barrel. Of course, hers will be glamorous.” Errr… it’s the Inauguration Night. Not exactly Cirque Du Soleil, dude.

Our favorite flamboyant Project Runway Season 1 finalist, Austin Scarlett came up with this burlap-bridal dress. Despite of its material, we like the cut! Mr. Scarlett’s thoughts on the dress, “Something elegant and dignified is appropriate for a first lady.” We couldn’t agree more.

Known for his eye for detail, Rami Kashou of season 4’s Project Runway came up with this dress, which shows nationalism, style and Liberty! Yeah, Michelle O probably need props to go with the dress. Hope the blue isn’t denim because it will send a whole other new message.

Last but not least, the Project Runway Season 5 winner, Leann Marshall wins our hearts here at CelebrityClothingLine with her peach Hollywood-glamour dress. We can see Michelle Obama dance with Barack Obama, gliding elegantly across the dance floor in this!
