Johnny Depp attended the premiere of his new movie "Dark Shadows"
Actor Johnny Depp arrived at Grauman’s Chinese Theater for the premiere of his new film, Dark Shadows, from Warner Brothers Pictures. Fellow castmates Michelle Pfeiffer and Chloe Moretz were also present at the event.
The Pirates of the Caribbean actor looked handsome and casual in a simple black suit, multiple beaded necklaces, and his signature aviator sunglasses.
The late Jonathan Frid gave Depp his blessing to star in the big screen version of his supernatural TV series, Dark Shadows, by sending him a handwritten letter and an autographed photo. Tim Burton directed the revamped version of Dark Shadows, which focuses on vampire Barnabas Collins, the cult character first made famous by Frid. Depp revealed he will always treasure the special note he received from the TV veteran giving him his official seal of approval.
The Finding Neverland actor also appeared on one of daytime’s funniest hours of TV for the very first time. Depp was a guest on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and talked about his character in Edward Scissorhands and, of course, his latest film, Dark Shadows.
