Kanye West has been quite successful when it comes to footwear and just a few years after his glorious attempt at shoe-designing with his iconic Nike Air Yeezys, the rapper is ready to launch his newest installment of the collection: Nike Air Yeezy II.
The newest edition of the Nike Air Yeezy features an anaconda-textured, leather quarter panel with a Vac-Tech Nike swoosh. If you like old school designs, the Nike Air Yeezy II got its inspiration from basketball shoes from the 1980s combined with the original Nike Air Yeezy design. For comfort, it’s built on the Nike Air Tech Challenge II tennis shoe outsole.
Kanye’s expensive taste is reflected in the use of leather, nylon, and soft nubuck, as well as in the YZY hieroglyphics on the forefoot strap. Limited quantities of the Nike Air Yeezy II are scheduled to hit select stores on June 9th.
Do you think Kanye did a good job with the Air Yeezy II? Would you buy these shoes?
