Shakira’s World Cup 2010 Closing Ceremony Costume

We know watching soccer is probably not really your thing, but if it is then you’ll be as torn as we are between The Netherland’s Oranje Team and The Matador Team of Spain.  Well, thank goodness we’re not here to discuss soccer. We’re here because we LOVE Shakira and her Waka Waka Song, the official FIFA World Cup song.

In the opening ceremony of the event, Shakira performed the song dressed in black Roberto Cavalli’s patterned catsuit and fringe skirt. UK Vogue reported that Shakira will don a similar getup for the closing ceremony, also by Roberto Cavalli, but of a different materials. The diva will be dressed in a tulle top, embroidered with multi-colored pearls, another fringed skirt… this time not gray or black but with floral motifs. As for accessories, Shakira will wear a denim belt embroidered with African-style pearls and leather bracelets decorated with floral silk decoration. Here’s the sketch of the costume.

Is it enough for you to go Waka-Waka over Shakira? We bet.  In other Shakira news, the singer has launched unveiled her new perfume called S in Madrid last month. The fragrance contains notes of benzoin, amber, vanilla, fresh woods and Indian jasmine Sambac.
