Smell Like X-Tina
The truth is, I never get it when a celebrity launches a perfume. Here are the first questions that usually pop in my mind:
1. Do they really smell like that?
2. Do they brew the chemicals themselves?
3. Do they own and wear their own perfumes?
Don’t mistake my naivety, but seriously, I know why they really do it (read: publicity and to rake in more bucks), but these questions just immediately pop in my head every single time I come across such news.
But anyhow, I like it a lot better when celebs get their names on something classy like a perfume rather than endorsing beers (yeah Jessica Simpson, I’m talking to ya). It seems so desperate.
And my love today goes to Christina Aguilera and her new perfume: Inspired.
So if you want to smell like X-tina, brace yourselves for the launch on September. It’s said that the perfume will carry nine fabulous scents: Valencia orange, sandal wood, musk, tuberose, frangipani, citrus, freesia rose, and mango. And at $32 to $59, it won’t burn your pockets. I would sooo get this.
However, I am still in awe -and truthfully questioning the Barbie-like Christina Aguilera in the ad.
Does Mattel get props for this?
