At a friend’s birthday bash across the pond, Gwyneth Paltrow’s style was full-blown Spring 2011. Although she was wearing several trends at once (a style choice we typically advise against,) she makes everything work together beautifully. The muted gray color of her party dress, and its one-shoulder style are both super on-trend for the upcoming season, but her fashion piet de resistance was her sexy and daring Camilla Skovgaard Claw Booties, featuring bold cutouts in the shape of animal claws. This risky fashion statement proves that cutouts are coming back with a twist, and that even the most demure fashionistas can experiment with the look!
The reason why these pieces work so well together, even though they are both trendy, is thanks to Gwyneth’s neutral color palate from head to fashionable toe. The one-shoulder dress is a perfect shade of quiet gray, while her fierce heels remain somewhat muted in fleshy taupe. Remember to keep trendy pieces flattering in hushed colors rather than bold neons or prints, especially when wearing multiple fads together. And just because these Camilla Skovgaard creations are well over $300 doesn’t mean we can get the same great style for less.
