Serial divorcee opted for an angelic, almost bridal look to give her first post-divorce interview
In the world of fashion magazines, no issue throughout the entire year is quite as important as September. After a summer full of sundresses and flip flops, fashionistas are ready to break out their luxe fabrics, suede boots and inky blue nail polish and celebrate a season entirely dedicated to clothes. Editors scramble to get the biggest stars on their September covers, and it’s always fun to see which famous face will grace our fave glossies. This year, we don’t think there’s a more highly anticipated magazine than the September issue of Vanity Fair, which features a newly-single Jennifer Lopez dishing about her headline-making split from her husband of seven years, Marc Anthony.

In addition to spilling the juicy and intimate details of her mega-million dollar divorce from the father of her adorable twins, Max and Emme, J-Lo also sports some amazing “eat-your-heart-out, Marc” duds. We completely smitten with her cover look, in particular, so read below for all the details about her glamorous white frock.
We have a feeling J-Lo wanted to make a statement on her Vanity Fair cover, so a hot white dress was the perfect choice to cut through the fall noise. We also find it interesting and ironic that this serial divorcee opted for an angelic, almost bridal look to give her first post-divorce interview. Only someone as glamorous and confident as Jennifer Lopez could pull this look off with ease under these circumstances, which is just another reason why we adore her.

Jennifer’s white-hot, cleavage-bearing frock might be too risqué for your own wardrobe, but you can take a cue from the bow detail on the neckline, and wear your favorite scarf in a similar way this fall. And for everyone who’s worried about J-Lo and the prospect of yet another husband, fear not. She tells the mag, “I’m a hopeless romantic and passionate person when it comes to love. It’s not that I didn’t love myself before. Sometimes we don’t realize that we are compromising ourselves.”
We sure hope things settle down for the On The Floor singer, and that she continues to bring us fierce fashion inspiration, as well! What do you think? Will you pick up a copy when it hits newsstands August 9th?
