Sometimes we just can’t help but wonder how they do it. For all of us saddled with love handles, we’re totally amazed at how celebrities achieve a fast turnaround—gaining weight while pregnant, giving birth, and getting back their pre-baby body—in a span of less than a year.
Latest envy-inducing sighting:
Jessica Simpson was leggy around Los Angeles merely weeks after showing off her post-baby body (She has always been leggy and has always looked gorgeous in shorts).
The beautiful mama, 32, was wearing sexy black short shorts and nude and black high-heeled pumps. She accessorized with an oversized bag and sunglasses.
Jessica has been hitting the gym following the birth of her daughter, Maxwell Drew Johnson, five months ago. And yes, we can see it’s paying off.
Jessica appears on NBC’s Fashion Star as a mentor together with equally fashionable celebrity mom and designer, Nicole Richie. We can imagine the (the imagined?) pressure to be slim and sexy. But Jessica says she just wants to be healthy for her daughter, her fiancé, and herself. We take her word for it.
Apparently, contrary to what most of envious us believe, losing the extra pounds she gained when she was pregnant isn’t a walk in the park. Jessica says:
“I’m not a supermodel. My body is not bouncing back like a supermodel. I’m just your everyday woman who is trying to feel good and be healthy for her daughter, her fiancé, and herself.”
