Oprah’s Favorite Coach Bag

Show us a woman who doesn’t look forward to Oprah’s Favorite Things episode every holiday season, and we’ll show you a liar. It’s no secret that Miss O’s most highly anticipated show every year is the one at which she gifts her audience with thousands of dollars worth of swag. And it’s not just any swag like you’d expect at a charity fashion show. This is OPRAH swag. We’re talking designer duds, high-end kitchen furnishings – and even cars. But for savvy fashionistas, the most exciting gifts are often the apparel, shoes and handbags Oprah loves – and this year, her final Favorite Things episode was certainly no exception. The Media Queen actually outdid herself with not one, but two full episodes of giveaways – and even though the brand new 2012 Volks Wagon Beetle was exciting – the gift that really revved our fashion engines was Oprah’s Favorite Coach Bag – the Large Sophia Satchel – in patent leather. Swoon.

For girlswho already adore Coach for it’s high quality, pristine leather bags and accessories, Oprah’s pick for Favorite Handbag wasn’t a surprise. The Large Sophia comes with a pretty steep price tag – almost $400 – but is so worth the splurge if it’s in your budget. It truly is the season’s “it” bag, with plenty of room for those of us who lug our lives around, but still stylish enough for a dinner date or fancy event. The gorgeous bag transitions seamlessly from day to night and always looks totally chic.

The Large Sophia comes in countless colors, patterns and skins, but Oprah’s pick was for the patent leather version in either red or camel – two of the year’s hottest accessory colors, naturally. The patent shine dresses up any ensemble and never looks out of place. Luckily for those of us who weren’t fortunate enough to get Oprah Show tickets for her Favorite Things episode, the large satchel style is easily accessible and affordable without that Coach embossment. Every label from Nine West to Simply Vera at Kohl’s makes a similar shape at an undoubtedly less-than-Oprah price, so we can all have our Favorite Things – and wear them, too!
