Russell Simmons Glamming Up SpongeBob
Ready? Ok.
Just as we thought Russell Simmons were crazy enough when he launched the Hello Kitty Jewelry a while back, now the Simmons Jewelry Company decided to create a collection of fine jewelry and watches inspired by SpongeBob Square Pants, in honor of the character’s 10th Anniversary. Well, the Simmons are pretty eccentric that way. The main jewelry they’re showcasing is this exclusive 12 carat diamond-encrusted pendant.
This pendant contains a total of 12 carats of white, yellow, red and blue diamonds, set in 18 carat yellow and white gold. And it’s not Russell Simmons if he does not try to do some good with his creations, this pendant is going to be auctioned off to benefit the Diamond Empowerment Fund. We’ve told you about this once, remember? Where Russell created the green beads bracelet?
If you’re really interested in purchasing the collection (which will be available for men and women), it will be debuted during the 2009 Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah and will be available by Fall 2009. Prices range from $150 to $75,000.
