Snoop debuts “Rich & Famous” clothing line

Snoop Dogg’s launching his own clothing line on the Magic Fashion Tradeshow in Las Vegas, August 25th 2008. That’s a good news after hearing him being rejected in Australia. Anyway, the line is called “Rich & Infamous”.

But I can tell you one thing: the rich and famous sure know who to make partners with. Snoop Dogg teams up with the man behind Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen’s mega-millions, Robert Thorne, to launch the fashion line which is described as the following in its website:

“It’s a fraternity of sorts, from presidents to gangsters-who’ve been able to endure the burden of gaining wealth at any cost. Garnering equal parts admiration and disdain, these men savor the fruits and relish the spotlight.”

Kinda ‘un-Snoop’ for my taste. But the t-shirt dominated line is, well, very Snoop Dogg. Check out this tee designed by Christian Audigier (yeah, he’s behind this too!):

It’s on sale now for $127 on their website. There are still quite a few collections there, and even fewer for the ladies, but I’m hoping there will be more non-t-shirt products. I won’t mind spending hundreds of dollars on something sexy like the ones worn by Snoop’s models. Just not on some plain t-shirts, please.

Anyway, we all wish Snoop Dogg the best upon his entering the fashion world, and it looks like him and Christian are one unbeatable team!
