Chloe Sevigny For Opening Ceremony Fall 09 Collection
As we previously mentioned, Chloe Sevigny has started her foray into menswear designs with her collaborators at Opening Ceremony. The actress / celebrity deigner unveiled a unisex collection during London Fashion week and although we were not really crazy about her previous collection, we decided that we LOVE this Fall ‘09 lineup.

The line has various inspirations that resulted in what Chloe referred to as “gay lumberjack”, James Dean, preppy New England and English punk style. Note the wide array of materials from moleskin, tiger and leopard-patterned knits, tweed, dyed thermals and oversized semi-long jackets. The concept is a men’s collection that also wearable by women. Contrary to popular opinion, Chloe said she enjoyed designing menswear.
“There’s much less pressure doing men’s, and because this collection is unisex and oversized, I felt like I could have more fun, except for the trousers. Getting the fit right was really difficult.”

The collection will be available for purchase at Opening Ceremony in New York and Los Angeles, as well as departmetn stores such as Barneys, Colette and Dover Street Market. Prices will range from $95 to $945.

Chloe also hinted a possibility to collaborate and design a smaller collection with a luxury brand, although for now Opening Ceremony is the right brand to be with, as they share the same aesthetic taste.
Any thoughts on the collection?
